We are offering six-month internships, starting on October 9th in various Finance departments (FP&A, Controlling, and Business Performance).
The internships will be based out of our International Headquarters in Bern (Switzerland*) and partnering with teams across many locations around the globe.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Global Markets
The Global Markets FP&A team is responsible for the consolidation & reporting of the Global Markets’ financials as well as to investigate and understand key drivers that will influence business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative process improvements and reporting efficiencies to enhance accuracy around revenue and expense forecasting
- Analysis of regional & market trends to ensure consistency/alignment within the business and highlighting key risks
- Consolidate key financial metrics and reporting for senior leadership
- Support regional finance teams during forecasting and reporting cycles
Controlling - Europe
The Marketplaces European Controlling organisation is looking for a highly motivated individual. She/He will partner with several teams and business units across many locations in addition to the Swiss locations (including London, Berlin, Paris and San Jose).
Responsibilities:
Supporting daily controlling activities (revenue, expenses)
Monthly close process
Supporting the team in the various and broad projects as improving the reporting tools, formalizing process documentation or preparing supporting documentation to comply with new international requirements
Business Performance – Global Markets
This role sits within the business performance global markets team. This team’s responsibility is to report and analyze trends in global metrics to give actionable recommendation to the business. One part of the team is focused on using data science to develop and maintain a Performance Drivers Model that predict future outcomes on key metrics.
The position involves working on the analysis of global eBay performance and its main drivers with focus on competition, economy and pandemic-related drivers. The intern’s work will be centered on both analysis of performance and development of tools to share performance predictions and insights.
Responsibilities:
Analyze trends in global metrics and their drivers
Develop and improve forecasting tools and reports
Support weekly reporting processes
Requirements for all positions:
Available for a 6-month full-time internship in Bern (40 hours per week), starting on October 9th
Be eligible to work in Switzerland (non-EU/EFTA citizens: please provide a copy of your work permit)
Master student or graduate in a relevant field
Very good command of spoken and written English
Highly self-motivated; Ability to work independently (as well as remotely) and collaboratively with multiple teams located in different regions
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, good knowledge of MS Office and Google suite applications in general
Good communication and presentation skills
Analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset
Database querying skills, data analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Python, Power BI), and knowledge of SAP are considered a plus
