We are looking for our new Supplier Quality Manager CE. As the Supplier Quality Manager CE at McCain within the Food Safety & Quality department of Continental Europe, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that purchased products and services meet the highest McCain Food Safety and Quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in cultivating strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their adherence to safety and quality protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in product food safety and quality. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
This is a Continental European role where you work hybrid in a location within Europe. You will travel up to 40% to our several plants within Continental Europe (2 in Netherlands, 1 in Poland, 3 in France) and our suppliers within Continental Europe.
Key responsibilities: You are responsible for the qualification of new suppliers and resources. You will manage the internal complaints around the suppliers. You are responsible to have the most important documentation around food safety of the suppliers and resources up to date. You will execute supplier audits.
- You lead the development of supplier quality strategies.
- You collaborate with stakeholders to select and approve suppliers.
- You assist the suppliers in achieving the required Food Safety and Quality levels.
- You ensure that the supplier agreements remain aligned with the manufacturing and engineering standards.
- You act as a partner for new product launches and projects.
Qualifications:
- You have a comprehensive knowledge and +5 years of experience of quality and food safety standards (HACCP, GFSI, GMP, IFS, BRC), that you have obtained within an operational environment in a complex matrix organization.
- You are experienced in training and coaching others.
- You maintain a perfect balance between strategic planning and operational work.
- You have a positive mindset, that sees opportunities in every challenge.
- You have a strong statistical background.
- You function as a gatekeeper, where you will fight for our high-quality demands, and can deal with ambiguity.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills at different levels, where you are constantly looking for partnerships outside of the quality team with other teams within McCain.
